The New look Get Reading Right Website
Whilst the rest of the world has being enjoying their summer holiday we have been slaving away at a redesign of our website. Go and have a look , you'll notice:
  • Easier navigation and clearer look and feel
  • More in-depth description of Synthetic Phonics and the Get Reading Right decodable books; suggestions for use and what makes them so special.
  • Some online ebooks; this is very good, even if we do say so ourselves! Have a look at a guided tour
  •   Pronounce the Phonemes ; when teaching using Synthetic Phonics it is so important to get the pronunciation of the sounds correct. Here we will take you through every sound step-by-step.
  •   And lots and lots of more free resources, including Letters and Sounds letter sequence resources. If you have any other resource ideas let us know and we might include them for other teachers and parents to use.

Get Reading Right decodable books now in the Letters and Sounds sequence

Here at Get Reading Right we have always said it is important to ensure that there is fidelity in the sequence you adopt. It doesn’t matter which you choose as long as every sound is covered. In the UK the government have adopted a new sequence for the Synthetic Phonics programme ‘Letters and Sounds’ which begins with s a t p i n m d.

Get Reading Right series 1 now comes in Letters and Sounds sequence. The same wonderful illustrations, structure and techniques – just a different letter sequence.

We are also working on a series 2 version and will be happy to let you know when it is ready.
